An Inclusive Community with
Open Arms and Open Minds
God calls us to be bold and fearless on the journey toward the
Bethany Presbyterian Church (USA) congregation in Spokane WA is called to be safe, inviting, and progressive Christian community. We nurture and empower this community to demonstrate grace, serve visibly, speak out with integrity and provide radical hospitality. Our faith in Christ is lived out in the world around us with strong belief in social justice, education, environmental concerns, acceptance, and equal rights for all of God's children.
We invite you to worship and learn more about us on Sundays at 10:30am.
About Our Service & Congregation
We offer deep services, youth group, Sunday school, nursery, and a strong mission
Expect sermons that go a level deeper, as we strive to see the text in its historical setting. We have a great nursery, an active Sunday school, and a fantastic youth group. Our congregation actively supports our local mission efforts targeting children and youth at risk. We especially support Liberty Park Development Center, Crosswalk & Odyssey. We also support our own missionaries, Brian and Sandi Thompson-Royer, currently serving in Guatemala with the Guatemalan Women's Leadership Project.
More About Bethany
Bethany is called to be a safe, inviting and progressive Christian community. We nurture and empower this community to: demonstrate grace, serve visibly, speak out with integrity and provide radical hospitality.
God calls us to be bold and fearless on the journey toward the blessed community. Our dream is to:
Be instructed by scripture, empowered by the Spirit, and challenged by God to heal the world and its people, understanding that there are many paths to God.
Be committed to following Jesus's examples of love, distributive justice, mercy, inclusion and nonviolent resistance to corrupt power.
Provide inspiring worship that encourages all to be instruments of God.
Work for peace by promoting a global consciousness and practicing social justice every day in tangible ways.
Seek the reconciling hospitality of God and experience the transforming power of grace.
Demonstrate stewardship of God's creation.
Search, with integrity, of the Divine in ourselves and others, in order to find a fuller view of God.
Celebrate and experience the joy of life and God's blessed community.
