Worship - Sundays at 9:30am
Join us for worship at Southside Community Center at 3151 E 27th Ave. on Spokane's South Hill. Each week, our pastors work with different worship assistants to highlight their unique voices, incorporate varied music, and hear different interpretations of the Bible. After worship, we stick around for coffee, snacks, and fellowship. Parking and (men's and women's) bathrooms are readily available; this one-story facility provides easy access. Wear whatever clothes make you feel comfortable.
Kids are welcome to sit with their families in worship, or join one of the pastors in the nearby library. Here, kids of all ages will engage in a Godly Play style offering that includes a story from the Bible, asking curious questions, and a creative response. Typically kids will sing the gathering song with everyone in the main room, then head to the library after the "passing of the peace." They will return at the end of the worship service, or in time to participate in communion (which is offered monthly).
If you would like to join us online via Google Meet, reach out for pertinent details.
What to Expect:
Sundays July 12 - August 16: We will be drawing on the wisdom of the Liberating Lineages Collective, as we explore what Jesus’ land-based parables and miracles have to teach us about building an alternative world of abundance and care in the midst of the daily realities of living under empire. Communion will be offered July 12 and August 2.
Sundays August 23 - September 6: Guest preachers will be offering a mini-series from the Narrative Lectionary on the 10 Commandments and their relationship with the Greatest Commandment; no Sunday School for kids
Sundays in the Fall, starting September 13: Narrative Lectionary with coinciding Godly Play stories for young people. Communion will be offered September 13.
Student Ministry
Students of all ages meet monthly to engage in fellowship and service in our community. Our programming is youth-inspired and led by a team of adult volunteers. This may look like a trash pick-up at a local park, going snow tubing during the winter, and even overnight retreats. Stay tuned to this page, or contact our pastors to learn more about upcoming events!
All staff and volunteers who work with children, youth, and vulnerable adults have a current federal criminal and sex offender background check on file, are CPR and first aid certified, and go through an annual training.
